Best Historic Restaurants in Madison

Our reservation was for 6 people and we came at 5pm. The first impression was that they were not prepared as the hostess was not there, someone else tried to help us instead, restaurant was completely empty and staff was still setting tables:). Then we realized that actually they were just opening and we were the first customers coming a bit too early😊. After 5:30 the restaurant was full of people and very energetic! Food was good, everyone liked their choices, even the cappuccino at the end tasted like an Italian coffee. Although a little pricey for a NJ restaurant, the overall experience was very good and we enjoyed every minute there.

This was a fantastic dining experience at one of our favorite restaurants in New Jersey. We’ve been coming for 20+ years, the dining room is beautiful , with a gorgeous European vaulted ceiling , the food and service are always exceptional.

Great food, great service and great atmosphere. A real gem that is outside of the norm. Highly recommend!
