Located in Hawthorne"s historic Degray house, Bottagra Restaurant opened its doors in early 2008. What was once used as an encampment for General Lafayette's troops during the Revolutionary War has been transformed into a modern, elegant restaurant with the feel and charm of a Tuscan villa. Chef-Owners Robert Vicari and Carlo Carbonaro have fused their extensive restaurant experience together to offer a variety of dishes hailing from both the northern and southern regions of Italy. Offering a full bar and extensive wine list, as well as private rooms, Bottagrais a diners' dream for gatherings both large and small.

Built in the early 1850s, it once served as a stagecoach stop and hotel offering weary travelers accommodations for 3 cents a night! The atmosphere is warm and romantic. We like to thank you for your support and your excellent review during a time when is very difficult to navigate the hospitality industry. We welcome your next visit in the near future. We will continue our post-Covid policy: with limited seating, reservation only - no walk-ins, and we will stagger our reservations.

    We were delighted with our dining experience at the Ho Ho Kus Inn. It is a step back in time in ambiance in a historical mansion. We loved the small rooms which created a coziness and quiet atmosphere so uncommon in most restaurants today. The service was superb and the food generally excellent. If you're looking for a unique, romantic dining experience, Ho Ho Kus Inn is the place to go. Of all the many restaurants we have dined at in Bergen County, this is our favorite.
