Me and my mum came for afternoon tea which was delicious and beautifully presented. I had the dairy free option which was so nice! The staff were very friendly and accommodating too. We enjoyed our experience so much that we visited the following day for a quick bite to eat and to take some cakes home with us. Highly recommend!

Good food and service, portioning very good over the 7 courses. The venison wellington and spiced rice pudding were exquisite… perhaps overall the menu was a little safe but we had a lovely evening. (For the wine pairing we would have preferred it being poured at the table so that we could see the bottles)

Emma, the chef, has put together a menu with more options than before. Early days but I would expect, if this is ground zero, I am excited as to where this goes. Good luck everyone!

We went to River Grille for their jazz brunch, to celebrate my sister's birthday. The meal began with a delicious cocktail. One of our party doesn't drink alcohol, so our helpful waiter, Jermaine, quickly brought a mocktail menu for her. The 3 course brunch was tasty and well balanced. There are several choices for main, including a few without meat, which suited me. The music was enjoyable, without being overwhelming. A very good experience overall.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed in warmly. The table was dressed festively. Our waitress (sorry I cannot remember her name) was lovely and helpful and confirmed that our special requirements of no fish had been noted. The food was delicious and there was a good choice of cakes and mini desserts as well as the normal scones, clotted cream and jam. However, the homemade mince pie was simply superb. I am 57yrs old and eaten a lot of mince pies over the years, and I can say this was THE BEST MINCE PIE I have ever eaten!!
