Meilleurs restaurants historiques à Widnes

Having not been to the Pick for a while we tried the Pick for Sunday Lunch on the 4th May. We were booked in for 1/5:00hrs and arrived a little early . We were shown to our table almost immediately and given the menu and asked for our drink order. There was no draft beer which was a little disappointing, but settled for a bottle of wine. The wine came in good time and our food order was taken. The food ,one chicken and one roast beef, Sunday lunch arrived within 30 minutes of sitting down. The food was very good and the portions ok. The service from both the staff who appeared to be covering both the bar and restaurant was excellent. Overall a decent Sunday lunch in the pleasant surroundings of the Pickering Arms in Thelwall Village.

Wow the Eagle and Child have upped their game, that was an amazing roast dinner. The new chefs are doing a great job. The kid’s pizzas were homemade as well. Everything tasted amazing! We will be back! At last a local pub who can actually cook decent home cooked food!

Brilliant service and great food. Will definitely be returning in the future.
