Family lunch in the Hitchin heatwave today. Huge appreciation to the staff who made our visit enjoyable. Big shout out to Stuart/Stewart who was fabulous, helpful, friendly and professional despite the heat, he must have been melting! Thank you! Food and drink excellent as always. Lussmans is a lovely and reliable restaurant and we always enjoy going. ps if you haven’t tried the pineapple carpaccio you’re missing out!

Food, service and staff all very good, we had a really enjoyable evening. It is a very good, varied menu and all choices were well received. As it claims, “ best pub food in Herts”, I think this is true!

Great place for an evening meal with friends. Nice atmosphere, fresh really good food, excellent flavours well balanced. Highly recommend; Albondigas Con Tomate Hand rolled pork meatballs cooked & served in a house made tomato sauce. Pollo A La Miel San miguel beer battered chicken strips, with a honey mustard glaze. Carne Mechada (Gf) Spanish style pulled brisket. Slow roasted in sherry & tomato sauce. And a side order of Pan Y Alioli (V) A basket of warm, ciabatta bread served with our house made garlic alioli. Desserts to die for to finish a perfect meal. We had a table of six. Everyone thought it was first class, from excellent service, food quality and portion sizes. Well priced also.

Delicious and beautifully presented food in a wonderful setting. The price point reflects the quality and standard of the food and of the whole experience. The setting is perfect and in the warmer months, take advantage of an aperitif or coffee , on the terrace, overlooking the grounds. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and any queries are answered quickly and efficiently. A fantastic place for a special event. We can’t wait to go back again.
