Best Historic Restaurants in Asheville

My family and I enjoy eating at The Stable Cafe any time that we visit Biltmore. (We also like Cedrics.) We like that the menu keeps many of the same offerings, but our favorite dishes are tweaked to go with the season - so it is like getting something new each time. We always order creme brulee, but for the summer it is lemon. The staff is very accomodating and prompt to keep your drinks refilled and to see if anything else is needed. I would recommend the anytime you are visiting the Biltmore House, try the Stable Cafe.

Delicious food, upbeat atmosphere, energetic and helpful waitress . Stated that it was our anniversary on open table and hostess greeted us saying happy anniversary, took us to our table with a signed Happy anniversary card and waiter gave my husband and I each a glass of champagne! It was a wonderful evening and would highly recommend. It was packed at 7 pm on a weeknight so to us as tourists it was a sign of a good place to dine.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at The Edison but our waitress, Alyssa, made it even that much more special!!!

This was a girls weekend for us and we enjoyed the setting and location of District 42. We didn’t realize it was at a hotel and never once felt like we were in a hotel. Set in the middle of the city it was fun to have our first evening there!
