Had lunch on a sunny Sunday in the orangery. I’ve been once before about a month ago. The waiter who served me then remembered me, which was very nice since he must serve many people. As before the service was discreet and prompt but with no pressure to ‘hurry up’. The setting is stunning, especially on a sunny day. We had a table by a window, seated on very comfortable chairs, (which is fairly rare for most restaurants, amazingly) and the food was very good. I had arugula salad with avocado, my host had salmon with Caesar salad and we both chose the ‘no words’ caramel crème brûlée for dessert. Throughly enjoyable and would recommend.

What a great venue. Atmospheric, friendly staff and some of the best food I have tasted in Oxford for quite some time. Small tasting plates formats work well (the croquettes, Korean chicken and tartare particular favourites) followed by larger mains (the duck for Sunda lunch was exceptional). Fantastic wine list and they allow dogs too! Many thanks We'll definitelty be back
