Food, service and the view of the garden in the afternoon. The baked encased snapper turned out to be excellent value. Not just the theatre of getting it released from the salt/eggwhite cement using hammer and chisel (!) but it was three large size meals. Lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Great ambience, service and proximity to city attractions (we went to Theatre Royal) and the food was good but it was not hot when it reached us. I think that the relatively shortened 'breakfast' menu meant that some of the more usual choices were not coming out 'cooked to order'. A pity as everything else about 'The Grounds' is great. I just went for lunch with a friend, we chose Ettalong Diggers for the “Poke bowl” we love it, it’s a pity that it’s only served until 17:30 The Street Food, it would be nice if we could have it at dinner time. It’d be nice to have more dishes like that in the main restaurant menu.
