The Woollen Mills has been one of the most iconic buildings and businesses in Dublin for over one hundred years, and to have taken over this site is a serious privilege. Much like our award-winning sister restaurant next door, The Winding Stair, we feel like we are custodians of something very special... a piece of history (James Joyce worked here, how unbelievable is that?!) and we must do it proud! Spanning over four floors and with a glorious roof terrace overlooking the River Liffey. The Woollen Mills is quintessentially Irish, local and of its locale. We want it to be an 'Eating House', a house of food, a place to grab a coffee and bun, a plate of Irish fish and chips, a place to score a casual bite befre the nearby theatres and cinemas or sit with seven courses of Irish antipasti, burrata, crab, lamb or cauliflower steak, overlooking the Ha'penny Bridge with a fine bottle of red or a craft beer.     Tried Hellfire with my partner for our anniversary, we were met with a lovely surprise of a glass of prosecco, which was so nice! Amazing food and atmosphere, our server Rafael was so wonderful, so attentive and kind, will be 100% going again and will be recommending to anyone looking for a delicious meal in Dublin. We enjoyed Spritz cocktails in lieu of dessert and they were absolutely fantastic and great value for money, the blueberry mint spritz was a delight and will be ordering again in thr future. Mussels starter was 10/10, a must try! Overall fantastic experience!

    The restaurant had a wonderful ambiance with tasteful decor and soft, subtle lighting that was easy on the eyes. The service was excellent, the waiting staff were attentive, friendly, and checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed while giving us time to enjoy the meal. We ordered a duck dish that was absolutely delicious. I do not usually order duck, but this was the best duck I've had. It was tender and packed full of flavour. he dish really made the evening memorable. Overall, it was a very nice experience. I went for a date, and we both enjoyed ourselves at this fine establishment. I would definitely recommend it, especially for a special occasion or date night.
