The Venue itself is amazing so much to see and very tastefully decorated, the Alice in Wonderland theme is simply enchanting. Food was lovely and plenty of it, service was excellent too and for a change no time slot to adhere to so we could take our time eating the lovely food, we will definitely be back for sure.

Carl the chef's food was outstanding and Faye and the rest of the service team work brilliantly together.

The hotel public areas are beautifully renovated, retaining the grandeur of the building. V & A Restaurant is spaciously laid out. The seating we had was huge and comfortable, but exceedingly heavy to move and too low for the table. The artwork is large, but questionable. Some of our party were late, which the staff dealt with kindly and wished the fathers in the group a happy Father’s Day. Unfortunately the service was terribly slow, despite there only being one other table occupied and already served, meaning that I had to leave between courses to move the car from the paid for car park. It took over two hours to serve and eat two courses: we ran out of time to have a coffee and had to ask for the bill with dessert. The food was really good; generous and stylishly presented. They presented a greeting in chocolate sauce and strawberries with the desserts. It was quiet and airy; which we enjoyed.
