- WWandaVancouver / British Columbia •1 review4.0Dined 4 days agoI had a very good experience at DOCKSIDE. The beet and walnut salad with cauliflower puree was wonderful. My margerita pizza was also very good. Our server Holly was very attentive , friendly and helpful. My friends cheese board was not exactly as descrfibed on the menu-- there no olives or nuts , and the "pickeld vegetables" were ...pickles. The board comes only with a few crostini crackers and might have been nice with a few slices of a baguette. Atmosphere both inside and out is lovely. Elegant, but not ostentatious. However-- inside on the wall that separates the kitchen from the dining area ( it actually is the waist high wall right below where the chefs work -- hard to explain)) is an aquarium with tropical fish. While pretty and very clean, I couldn't help but notice how narrow the tank was and I felt very sad for the fish. I was not the only patron who noticed this. The tank or tanks are long but I would say no more than twelve inches wide. And very sparse. To me the fish looked trapped and stressed. I have written to the restaurant and suggested rehoming the fish somewhere that will have more space and more water greenery ( there are fish rescues that do this) and replacing the wall with art by a local artist. It would be just as pretty and would benefit a local artist. Either that or use the tank as a water art dispaly without the fish. Other than the disturbinbg feeling about the fish my lunch was very good. I would go back.More infoDockside RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Northwest• Granville Island•4.1
