Ocean Basket is a huge step up from regular fish and chips. We were welcomed and seated very quickly, there is a terrace and as it was a beautiful day we sat outside with a view on the Thames. Both inside and outside all tables were full so booking certainly recommended. We had the sharing platter for 2 which had bake, mussels, king prawns and calamari’s with chips and rice for £50.00 plus oysters to start. Complimentary you get small rolls with 3 dipping sauces. As it was so busy our waitress seemed rushed, listened badly and anything we asked out of the ordinary was answered with a “don’t worry” only to find that these requests were ignored! It was difficult to get the attention of a waiter as all wee very busy but a nice young man rectified the mistakes from the 1st waitress so all was fine eventually. Our food and drinks were initially taken to the wrong table and we had to try get the attention of the staff to give it to us which was a further blooper but as stated before it was very busy (on a Monday!!) Service charge is added automatically and considering the experience NOT appreciated . However in conclusion. The food is fantastic so I would definitely recommend a visit.

I haven’t been to Thai Square for over 10 years and recently decided to visit a one time favourite for my partner’s birthday. We were greeted on arrival, maybe because it was a Monday evening the restaurant was fairly empty. Nonetheless the service was exceptional, food was good, and overall experience was nice. The weather, which was unusually warm for April helped make the evening more pleasant, looking out on the Thames at night.

Excellent service and a few TVs to watch the football but the food wasn't the best value and the drinks were expensive. I'd got back for a drink or two, but not for food.
