- SShaneSydney •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWhat an experience!! From the moment we arrived the place looked stunning. We were seated quickly and advised the name of our waiter. Shortly after Daniel arrived and provided table water while we checked over menus. Polite - courteous - promptly advised us of minor changes to the menu options and left us to make our decisions. Ordering was a breeze, Daniel repeated the order back to us confirming minor alterations and shortly after our entrees arrived. The food was perfectly presented and cooked just right. Staff checked in to clear away empty dishes we had moved to the side and made the night just stunning. noise level was low (we dined mid week) and we were able to hold conversation without straining to hear. The lane way was a nice delight after our meal, beautifully lit and a nice light stroll after a meal was pleasant. Cocktails were also exceptional All in all one of the better dining experiences we have had in Sydney.More infoThe Potting ShedPrice: Moderate• Modern Australian• Alexandria•4.3

- PPandaSydney •1 review5.0Dined on May 15, 2025Six Course Tasting Menu and Chocolate Ombré Cheesecake Last week @adatewithsam and I chose to celebrate our birthdays having dinner at Mina Maria. So impressed was I with my previous experience of their six course plant based tasting menu that I was compelled to go and try it again. The six courses included: Wild Mushroom Patè with Turkish Bread Croutons, Potato and Leek Croquettes, Koftas with Tzatziki, Red Cabbage Salad, Salt and Pepper Calamari with Tartare and Mini Lamb Pitas. Each course was highly flavourful, packed with fresh herbs, seasoned expertly, and had thoughtfully prepared sauces and accompaniments. I loved the flow of the courses and the timings between each. Though I loved each dish, my favourites were the croquettes and the koftas (I could eat a bounty of each). The croquettes which came with a tangy aioli were perfectly crisp outside and had a soft leak and potato filling mixed with creamy bechamel. The pork style koftas were super tender and moist, they were well flavoured with fresh herbs and delicate spices. They came with a yoghurty tzatziki which married perfectly with the succulent "meat". Unbeknownst to us, booking to celebrate a birthday at Mina Maria means free dessert (which we were going to order regardless) so I chose one of their specials - Chocolate Ombré Cheesecake. I stand by what I've said before, best cheesecakes in Sydney! The cheesecake had a short buttery biscuit base which held a supremely creamy, velvet-like three gradient cheesecake which was covered in a silky, bittersweet dark chocolate ganache. I loved the progression of the layers, from creamy white to sweet, chocolatey milk and rich dark. Cannot recommend Mina Maria's cheesecakes enough! A truly wonderful birthday dinner and I cannot wait to visit Mina Maria again!More infoMina MariaPrice: Moderate• Vegan• Newtown•4.7
