Fantastic food and friendly service. Sometimes the service can be a little bit slow but possibly 1 or 2 extra staff would benefit this. The staff themselves go above and beyond though and are happy to do what they can for you. The food options are great and the £35 menu is such good value.

My husband and I had a wonderful fully gluten free Sunday roast at The Red Lion, complete with Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower in cheese sauce. Everything was really tasty. As a coeliac from Australia this was a fantastic treat. Would definitely recommend to anyone, not just those that follow a gluten free diet.

Wonderful welcome and table settings looked delightful Good choice on menu Tasty food Liked we didn’t have to ask for water for the table, this was juts given to us. Attentive waiter but sadly as they time went on and the place became busier we had to wait longer as they were waiting tables, clearing up and doing the bar. I had to ask when our deserts were coming as we were due in the theatre and time was getting on Apologetic and took service charge off for us. Would go again though, they probably just needed somewhere else for a few hours on a Saturday evening.

All in all nice but a few things not happy with. Felt the champagne option for £50 was falsely advertised as 2 drinks with x…and y on the menu but we only got 1 for £14 per head extra! Not impressed by that and the server ever stated it’s ‘cheeky how they word it to trap you’. The food was lovely but the sandwiches were disappointing- not interesting fillings and the bread was dry as if it had been left out a while. I don’t feel it was worth £110 for 2 people.

Great for a couples or group evening out food exceptional service with a smile outside area when weather good.
