Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in West Seattle/Alki

The food is always excellent, but we now go for the Tajarin pasta. It is incredible.

I made a reservation at Salty’s to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and they truly went above and beyond to make it special! From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtful and festive, even the birthday card and confetti on the table were perfect touches. A huge thank you to our server, Chrissy, she was absolutely amazing! Her energy was fantastic, and she made sure my boyfriend felt like the star. She also gave us some great food recommendations, and wow, was the food incredible. The Bloody Marys were great, and the oysters were some of the best we’ve ever had. To top it all off, the view was stunning. Every part of our experience was a solid 10/10. We’re already looking forward to coming back with the whole family!

This was our very first omakase experience, and wow—Sushi Kashiba set the bar incredibly high. From start to finish, it was a 10/10 in every way. We were seated at the chef’s counter and immediately felt welcomed by the warm, attentive staff. The service was exceptional—gracious, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced. Watching the chefs work right in front of us was not only mesmerizing but gave the entire evening a personal, intimate feel. Every single piece of sushi was a work of art. The flavors, textures, and precision behind each bite left us completely blown away. It’s hard to pick a favorite because every course kept topping the last. (But my favorite was definitely the tuna and jack!) Yes, it’s a splurge—but it’s so worth it. This isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience. We left full and happy. If you’re considering trying omakase for the first time, Sushi Kashiba is the place to do it. Highly, highly recommend!
