Essence is a casual restaurant that serves French cuisine using seasonal ingredients. Chef Shiro Naito opened the restaurant in 2010 to provide dishes that celebrate the essence of each season. Essence is conveniently located next to Inokashira Park and Ghibli Museum. Its spacious dining area provides tables for guests and a private room for special occasions. The menu at Essence offers themed seasonal courses. We had the opportunity to book a lunch, and it was fantastic. As others have said, you can probably find sushi cheaper somewhere else, but we had an incredible experience and look forward to returning for dinner sometime. It was really well done!

We had an unforgettable experience at Sushi Shin. Chef Shinji served incredible food and created such a lovely ambiance. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Tokyo and would love to come back next time I visit!

I liked this restaurant. Food was good. I just wish that OpenTable added 14th Flr to the location. We got to the restaurant around 25 mins late since we were going around in circles following google map directions and still not finding the restaurant. It is on the 14th Floor of the Odakyu Department Store. There are no signs anywhere about the restaurant. We finally went to the restaurant review on Google and patiently read each one of them. Luckily a reviewer posted that it's on the 14th Floor. Pls OpenTable, update the address info for this restaurant.
