Best Seasonal Restaurants in Spring Branch

I visited Perry’s Memorial City location today for the Friday pork chop special. Overall, it was a great experience. The restaurant was a bit warm inside—probably due to the crowd, which makes sense considering how popular that special is. The pork chop was delicious this time around. I’ve been before when the cut was a little too fatty, but today’s serving was clearly a better cut—much more balanced and flavorful. Definitely a step up from my last visit. One suggestion: I’d love to see Perry’s switch out the traditional applesauce for sliced apples in a sweet glaze. It would elevate the dish and complement the pork beautifully. Just a thought! Shoutout to the young lady working the front desk (young Black woman—wish I caught her name!)—she made sure we got seated quickly even though we were late for our reservation. Friendly, professional, and all smiles. Excellent first impression. All in all, much improved since my last visit. Thanks for a solid lunch!

Heather is the best server in Houston, she is amazing!

A great waiter who was very good at making recommendations. Very unique food offerings, and unique cocktails to go with it. The shrimp dish with pasta stuffed with cheddar cheese was absolutely delicious. I would go here again when I’m in town.

Really cool place and although it has a limited menu as this is really a speak easy, the food was excellent! Music was nice and not too loud so easy to enjoy and still talk.

We absolutely love North Italia! We love to sit at the bar, and the bartenders are just AWESOME! They are very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. We had the appetizer with white truffle bread and ricotta, so delicious and decadent. We shared the crushed meatball bucatini pasta, which was a perfect share and very tasty, seasoned perfectly. Whatever wine we pick, is always great!
