Higher Ground is a British bistro and bar located in Manchester city centre that focuses on seasonality within the UK using produce sourced from local suppliers and producers. Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. Fabulous experience from start to finish. The team welcome you with such warmth and enthusiasm for what they do. I recommend putting yourself entirely in their hands and enjoying the exquisite seasonal produce and superb wines. What a wonderful evening full of smiles and outstanding food. Hospitality at its very best.

Special night with restaurants Orme and Fold providing a taster menu. We also went for the matching wine flight. Such an enjoyable evening, the food & drinks were utterly delicious. Fabulous atmosphere.
