This long-established restaurant in Ealing is known affectionately by its customers as “Mrs Chow’s” in homage to the lady in charge of the cooking, who believes in using fresh, natural ingredients. Feeling adventurous? Swap sesame prawn toast for “shredded jellyfish with three delicacies” or “frog’s leg in black bean sauce”. If not, don’t worry – you’ll do just as well with traditional starters like satay chicken or sweet-and-sour won ton. Great restaurant. The food was great just enough for brunch and very tasty. Our waitress was brilliant. The only thing I will criticise is the noise level. There was a DJ who was playing some really good upbeat music but it was just way too loud. We wanted a girly chit chat/catch up and had to shout at each other! I ended up with a headache. Shane as everything else was so good. They just need to turn the volume down a bit!

We went for Sunday lunch at The Star and I would definitely recommend it. Not many people in, which is a shame, but the food was good and the service was very friendly and efficient. We'll be going back!
