Thought that it was poor value for money with 1 slice of black pudding costing £3!! 2 eggs on the hash would have been better VFM. Service was good and staff lovely though

On a weeks self catering holiday nearby, we booked for dinner on the second night at The Sundial. My wife and I enjoyed the experience so much, we returned twice more. (Would have looked forward to dinner there on our last night too, the menu was so varied and enticing, but we had tickets at a concert that night.) The relaxing ambience was immediate on entering. From joint owner, Mary's welcome, and the sybaritic lounge area. In these times of widespread reduced choice of menu, what chef Vincent offers at The Sundial, is amazing and exemplary. The 3 courses we had, on all three nights, were delicious and photogenic. I can only marvel at the logistics Vincent must have to deal with, to acquire, prepare and assemble, any combination of dishes, diners on a given night may decide to order, and deliver, to the his high standard. The Sundial, is a culinary shining beacon, and we wish Vincent and Mary continued success.

First time visit to Callendars, after being new to the area and looking at reviews. Customer service from staff exceptional and the food was amazing. Great value too. We had the Sunday roast. Cannot wait to go back to try the other dishes.

Very nice choice,as not much was open that Weekend but Restaurant was pleasant, service was good,food Excellent, maybe a couple more choices,would be a bonus,but the quality, and quantity was good,right opposite seafront,10 mins from centre of Town.
