Held our reservation even though we ran a half hour late: very grateful for that! Beautiful space, bar chairs were very comfortable. Service was great, very accommodating and friendly. . Restaurant Week lunch was a sampling menu of tastes that kept on coming. The dessert finale, coupled with hot chocolate, was exceptional. Too busy tasting to take pictures!

Wonderful dining experience as always. Previous visits have not been during Restaurant Week, but we didn't feel any difference in service, food quality or presentation. Courses were well spaced and not rushed. My only comment is that we weren't asked about coffee or an after-dinner drink with our desert, and I would have had a glass of port. Our server was not around when desert was served to place an order and after desert, I didn't want it anymore. Kind of felt like they wanted to turn the table a little faster and didn't want us to linger.

First visit, seated early, great service, nice casual feel. Carciofo Alla Guidia is the delicious signature artichoke appetizer. Insulata Di Carvolo has a strong anchovy taste which we like. Rigatoni Alla Carbonara is decantly rich. Pesce In Guazzetto has nice suace that we teamed with side of Funghi E Formaggi. Dessert was Zabaione E Berries which is a generous serving with a hint of alcohol. We will be back.

We have been here 4-5 times and always enjoyed ourselves, but we have to say that 2025 Chicago Restaurant Week was such an incredible experience. The food was superior, and everyone made sure we were well taken care of. The staff is friendly, engaging, and always smiling. Our server Day was top-notch and gave outstanding recommendations. We love the atmosphere and plan on coming back. Our only issue was that the music was too loud. Don’t get rid of it, just turn it down a bit. Other than that, we loved our time here. BW is high class and cozy.
