In 1979, after over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Joe Impastato opened Impastato’s in Metaire. Only 5 years before, his brother Sal opened Sal and Judy’s in Lacombe. Now the family of restaurants extends to Madisonville with the opening of Impastato Cellars on September 5, 2013.     Exceptional service from Jordan. Great cocktails enjoyed at a leisurely pace before ordering dinner. One guest had the broiled lamb chops, very generous portion and best he has ever eaten. The petite filet was perfectly cooked on a sizzling platter and the side of creamed spinach was delicious. The other guest had the redfish and it was also enjoyed. Gallaghers never disappoints !

    This was our first time visiting The Dakota since we moved away and since they moved. We went to celebrate our anniversary and the experience was everything we wanted and more. The wait staff was very attentive and the food was SPECTACULAR. The soft shell crab I ate might have been the best seafood dish I have ever eaten! My wife had the redfish and was absolutely delighted with her meal. When we come back to visit and have a special occasion to celebrate The Dakota will be our place to go.
