Located on Charleston's Upper King Street, Indaco (Italian for "indigo") serves rustic Italian cuisine. Wood-fired pizzas, hand-crafted pastas, housemade salami and cured sausages fill the restaurant's menu which can be enjoyed family-style or a la carte. With community tables, an open kitchen, and a comfortable atmosphere, Indaco can accommodate 100 guests for a casual night of food and drinks. The wine list is focused on affordable Italian varietals, the Negroni cocktail is on tap, and the fresh sodas are made in-house. The massive wooden doors on Upper King Street are your first indication that Indaco is different from the typical Charleston restaurant. Rustic details continue inside with butcherblock tables, lime-wash walls, and white brick. An open kitchen with nearby community tables lets interested diners keep an eye on the action inside the kitchen. Outside, a patio puts you streetside to watch Upper King Street's vibrant nightlife scene.

O-KU offers a refined dining experience with a perfect blend of traditional Japanese flavors and modern twists. The atmosphere is stylish, welcoming and calm creating a great setting for any occasion. Our server, Ella, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making our meal even more enjoyable. Used restaurant week as a motivator to dine here for the first time. The experience was excellent, with prompt seating with our reservation, great service ( specifically with our server, Sophia), menu, which exceeded our expectations, and food, quality, and quantity, which was delicious. Specifically, the pizza with sausage had great flavor, entrée of 1/2 chicken was very tasty, and pasta dish with tuna, being very imaginative. Completing the experience were the desserts, with tiramisu being the best, I think I’ve ever tasted. Will definitely return in the near future .

I’m from Charleston and eat downtown often. The staff and food were absolutely amazing! We had the best time and the food was so good. It’s a teeny bit loud, but I am over 60 so it’s probably not 😁 Look forward to our next visit!!! Thank you everyone for being so kind and fun.

It was a rare occasion that we were the only reservation for that time slot, we had an amazing time. Aimee was our tea tender and she was great, so patient and informative about how to read over the menu of teas. She explained the process and made it a great experience. I took my husband, who when I offered up this idea for tea, was all but thrilled. Before we left he said thank you for inviting him to something he very much enjoyed but had not intended to. We were both delighted at the different take on the little hand foods served and the pistachio blueberry tart was amazing!
