- DDeeLos Angeles •19 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe came here for Father's Day. The service was fast, friendly, and professional. We were seated immediately, and the waiter gave his recommendations on drinks because all drinks were $10 this year. The food is always exceptional, and we ordered the full Churrasco to have the herb chicken and our favorite, the Picanha (prime part of top sirloin). Drinks were not strong. It is always an enjoyable experience.More infoFogo de Chao - El SegundoPrice: Moderate• Brazilian• El Segundo•4.3

- BBethelynVIPLos Angeles •13 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoIf you could bottle up the cool coastal energy of Hermosa Beach, Surfer Girl would be it! The moment I walked in, I felt like I had stepped into a mini Shutters of SM fame, and I mean that in the best possible way. The decor is stunning, perfectly capturing the relaxed elegance of the coast, but the real show stealer is the view. Hands down, the BEST oceanfront view of any of the strand restaurants. The menu is solid and offers approachable, yet elevated beach fare, that hits a sweet spot without trying too hard. Highlights included the shrimp pasta, crab cakes, and surprisingly a grilled cheese that was perfection on a cool breezy night. The burger was flavorful and satisfying. It will be nice when their liquor license comes in (I love a good beach-side margarita) but the wine list was a pleasant surprise. It offered a ton of variety, including an interesting sparkling pinot noir that absolutely delivered. From the color scheme to the thoughtful details, it is evident that the owners poured their hearts into creating an ideal oceanfront space. Cozy blankets, warm intentional lighting, ideally placed heat lamps - just the kind of place that begs you to stop and watch the sunset. And don't get me started on the roof top deck - just WOW! While there were a couple of service hiccups (totally expected from any "new kid on the block"), our overall experience was still five stars and I've already booked our next res. Surfer Girl fills that niche that other strand restaurants have missed, offering a perfect mix of laid-back coastal charm, unpretentious yet elevated dining, and show stopping views! This place is sure to become not just a local favorite but one that those from faraway lands (PV) will be more than happy to drive to.More infoSurfer GirlPrice: Expensive• Californian• Hermosa Beach•3.7
