Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Lewiston

I have food allergies and they were known to the restaurant. I ordered Caesar salad with chicken. I had a coughing fit and thought it was because the chicken was too dry. I’m now thinking that it was cooked in peanut oil as I’m allergic to peanuts. I took the salad home hoping it would be fine today, the next day. I started having a big problem with coughing again and was unable to eat the chicken. I’m so disappointed as the table was fantastic with a great view of the falls and the server was very accommodating and humble. I booked through open table as they always take care to give allergy information to the restaurants off the app. The server did not ask us if we have any food allergies. This was unusual. I won’t return as I can’t have another experience such as that. I was unable to eat anything I ordered so wouldn’t take the chance of ordering anything else off the menu. The server did offer to get me something else from the kitchen. My friend who dined with us is gluten intolerant and she didn’t have any problems. Steer clear of this place if you have any food allergies!
