Returned for a second visit today to celebrate my older daughter's graduation from college. I cannot say enough about this restaurant! We arrived an hour earlier than our reservation and they were more than willing to accommodate us. Our server today was Natalie F and she is an ABSOLUTE Doll! Kind, considerate, professional, engaging and most importantly, she didn't judge us for being SUPER Greedy. We started with celebratory cocktails. My daughter got the Prosecco with a seasonal popsicle added and I got the hurricane which had beautiful presentations. We then moved on to appetizers which were the fried Cajun calamari and we had to get those splendid stuffed shrimp again . Both did NOT disappoint. For our entree's, my daughter got the pan-seared salmon with sides of spinach and 4 cheese mac and cheese, my mom got the catfish sandwich and fries and I got the Creole herb chicken with sides of red beans and rice and the 4 cheese mac and cheese. All were DELISH!! However, we only took a couple of bites of our entree's and asked for to go boxes because we were pretty full from the apps but still wanted to order dessert. We ordered the banana pudding cheesecake and the Beignet Sundae which were both VERY good. Once again, Miss Toya's knocked it out of the park on EVERY level from SUPERB Service, FABULOUS Food, AMAZING Ambiance and a purely DELIGHTFUL Dining experience. This is definitely our DMV dining "Go To" and we look forward to our next visit.

Arrived early for a 6 P.M. res (5:15). It was Happy Hour Tuesday and the place was practically empty. Drinks were fine. 3 of us shared the Mussels appetizer on the happy hour menu which was a full order at a happy hour price and they were DELICIOUS! We also shared an order of the Fried Calamari and it was also excellent. One of us ordered the scallop entree and another ordered the Steak Frites and they split their orders. The steak (N Y Strip) was done as ordered (medium rare to medium) and served with the garlic mashed potatoes. All was very good. The scallopswere delicious as was the Risotto . Only negative was there were only 4 Sea Scallops of medium size and 6 would have seemed like a more adequate portion. We ordered (for the table) the brussel spouts which were YUMMY! My husband ordered the steak frites with the Frites (fries) and he was very disappointed in his steak…found it very “chewy” and “ordinary.” “For $48 dollars i expected more.” In all fairness, he orders his meat medium WELL. Our server was excellent and very helpful. The ambience was funky and different and appealing. My husband and I plan to return and have already decided we will order several appetizers to share and skip an entree since the appetizers were more reasonably priced and extremely delicious. We definitely will return!!

The food is excellent, and the service was outstanding

Everything was great but as soon as possible the server would go to his perch and study his smart phone oblivious to repeat requests for assistance. I understand youth, but service during busy meal hours means putting your phone away!
