Best Live Music Restaurants in Waterfront

We visited Mastro’s City Hall Steakhouse for a special celebratory evening, and while the experience had many highlights, a few key elements fell short of expectations. Service: Absolutely top-notch from start to finish. From the initial greeting to the bartenders and waitstaff, everyone was professional, kind, and genuinely delightful. If I were rating purely on service, this would be a solid 5 stars. Ambiance & Wine Selection: The ambiance felt appropriately upscale for the occasion, and we especially appreciated the Round Pond wine selection supporting Alzheimer’s awareness—such a thoughtful touch. We chose a bottle in support and enjoyed it thoroughly. Appetizers & Sides: Our starters—raw oysters and French onion soup—were excellent, and the sides (scalloped potatoes and sautéed asparagus) were generously portioned and beautifully presented. However, the scalloped potatoes lacked the flavor we were hoping for. Main Course – Steaks: This is where the evening lost its momentum. We both ordered bone-in filets, expecting rich, juicy cuts full of flavor. Unfortunately, both steaks—while tender—lacked that beautiful juciy expectation and sadly bland. I requested medium rare (warm red center), but mine arrived closer to medium. My husband’s steak was cooked more accurately to his request (medium), but similarly lacked the rich flavor one anticipates from a bone-in filet. Thankfully, my 7 oz. lobster tail was cooked perfectly and ended up being the highlight of my entrée. Value: The bill was hefty, as expected at a fine dining steakhouse. While we don’t mind splurging for special occasions, we left feeling that the meal didn’t quite deliver the wow factor we’d anticipated—especially at this price point. All in all, a beautiful evening with impeccable service and ambiance, but the star of the show—the steak—fell flat. We may return for drinks and appetizers, but would think twice before ordering steaks again.

We always have a great time at Papas Taps! The food and drink is always top-notch and the Flamenco band/dancers are incredible! I have to give special recognition to our server, Arturo. We have had hime three times and he c continues to be a great addition to the Papas Tapa team. He always is extremely attentive and very personable, but he also has a great sense of humor that makes the evening even more enjoyable. He said the rest of the staff refer to him as "the clown" and it's easy to see why! We recommend Paps Tapas without hesitation. It is truly a piece of Spain in Scottsdale. Bud McLarty

We visit Marcellino's a few times a year. The food and service are always exceptional. Last night was no different. Marcs was a wonderful waiter and the homemade pastas never disappoint.

Fun atmosphere with great service, great drinks and great food! If you are looking for a fun vibe this is definitely the place to go. We celebrated my aunt’s 30th birthday here and will be a go to place for us!
