Everytime I visit Sunderland to either go to the Sunderland Empire or The Fire Station I always book The Engine Room for food. There is always a great choice of food and the menu is changed regularly. The food is always delicious, freshly cooked and most importantly hot. Would definitely recommend

As good as ever, clearly been a busy day and it was very hot inside, but no great wait for food, which was very nice

We really enjoyed our Sunday Lunch. It was a good portion and very tasty with good gravy. I would definitely recommend.

Great food at a reasonable price. Bar and serving staff were first class. Young chap behind the bar/served us was very polite and professional (didn’t get his name but had glasses).
