The booking and entry to the club was easy. The club is modern however Banyan Restaurant lacked ambience and was over stimulating with all the club distractions eg lights, noise, keno screens and kids area front and centre. It would suit families and people that like gambling but not great for couples that want a quiet romantic meal. Otherwise, if you’re not worried about the ambiance, the meals are beautiful, great selection of cuisine, the table service is wonderful and great value for club members.

The food and service were excellent, but the set menu took far too long to be served. We were a table of two having the 4-course menu, and it ended up taking about 3 hours in total. There were long waits between each course, which made the overall experience less enjoyable. We almost didn’t stay for dessert due to the delay.

We visited Mr. Vain on Sunday night for our anniversary and it was excellent. On Sundays they have live jazz and $3 oysters, the vibes were immaculate. We had a gorgeous bottle of wine, the food was incredible, and our service was fantastic. Such a great experience and a beautiful way to spend our anniversary. We cannot wait to come back!

Our first time visit to the Queensland Cruising Yacht Club and it won't be our last. Good service and a very nice casual atmosphere . We both look forward to many future visits.
