The fillet and the salmon were phenomenal. I would not order the mussels again as they were very small with little meat in the shells. There is a nice and creative drink menu with interesting options. The noise level is high but manageable for conversations. We will definitely dine here again.

Our dinner snd service were excellent. The only problem is that the city of Pittsburgh made Fifth Ave one way except for a red lane for buses only. This made accessing valet parking more difficult as we were unaware of the change. It is now across the street and only available after 6pm. Not knowing that, we had to circle the block several times until we saw the valet on the opposite side of the intersection with Wood Street. I suggest you have a notice about this on your website so customers are prepared. We were meeting people there or we might have canceled since we had difficulty finding the valet.

Food was delicious when it arrived. The kitchen was not busy, but others at our table mentioned what I was thinking--namely that it took too long to prepare the entrees. We loved the various offerings on the menu and appreciated the quiet dining space that was well-appointed.

We had a wonderful meal at the Commoner. The atmosphere was lovely with good lighting. Out food was delicious. I highly recommend the spicy crab dish. It was incredibly flavorful and great to share. Our server, George, was professional and attentive. We really couldn’t ask for more. We will certainly return our next trip to Pittsburgh
