Four of us sat in The Star garden under the pergola on Monday lunchtime and enjoyed a very nice lunch with drinks. It was a fairly quiet but beautiful sunny day. The waiter was exeptionally good and very helpful. We all agreed that we would return again.

Lovely building, comfy chairs, can bring your dog. Food was very nice, duch starter about touch but still delicious with the ginger and rest of salad. Fish and chips went off well, we prefer take the skin off chips. Lovely coffees and shortbread.

Great food. Really great food. Was very hot in the restaurant, on the hottest day of the year, but we loved the castle setting and look forward to coming back.

Excellent food (as always) but ambience reduced by lack of other customers - perhaps a reflection on the hot weather.

First time eating at the newly 're-furbished Foresters. They've made a beautiful job of the interior, much better than the old dining room. We had a very tasty lunch, service was excellent, will definitely be back.
