Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Cohoes

For a chain- excellent. Even were it not a chain- excellent. We were celebrating our petite wedding dinner for 8 on a Saturday evening. Server congratulated us upon greeting. Beverages arrived quickly, as dud warm rolls. Team service here - again, excellent. Appetizers arrived within 20 minutes- impressive for a Saturday. Calamari, Wagu meatballs, pork belly- all outstanding and enough to share. Our guests had everything from steak to seafood. 1 steak was undercooked from order but guest said it tasted amazing and kept it. Scallops (5) over risotto with pea emulsion- was superb. Scallops melted in my mouth!! The main negative was we waited a tremendous amount of time for our check- close to 25 minutes, and secondary was the acoustics- very difficult to hear across the rectangle table. Other than that- most definitely recommend!

We had a private glassed in room which was very nice and kept the noise level down Service was very good and attentive without being pushy. Everyone enjoyed their food and made positive comments. We can recommend without reservation and will return.

This is clearly one of the best restaurants in the Capital District. The food was excellent and the service was professional and friendly. The Porterhouse for two was done perfectly and was tender and delicious. The octopus and the crème brûlée were also superb. The entire experience was a treat.

Great food, great service. Maybe just a little too much lemon on the risotto with the haddock!
