Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Van Nest

After so many years Island continues to be a neighborhood jewel on the upper east side. Food and service and ambience are great….amazing feat especially in NYC. Always love going there when I’m in the area.

It's an indulgence restaurant, but the food is excellent. Service is old-school formal and absolutely impeccable. They know their clientele and they know what they're doing. We went fort the 3-course, at $165, plus 1 drink each and coffee. Totaled $465, and about $510 with gratuity. As I say, it's an indulgence for most, but a good one.

Intimate spot, perfect for a lunch meeting or date. Service is attentive and impeccable. Food is fresh and gorgeous, and the room is elegant and bright. Love every minute of my meals there!

The best steak I have ever tasted (and I eat a lot of steak). The service was also fantastic. A wonderful experience.

Love this place. Great cigar lounge in NYC. I keep going back after a broadway or off-broadway show. Great little band, staff and cigar selection. I'm going and try to get to the Sinatra saturdays they have. Don't hesitate to go. Now they can get delicious GREEK food from next door! What an upgrade!
