Beautiful setting .table next to fireplace is very private .food was excellent beautifully presented. Work of art the lobster. Plenty sauce with massala Best aubergine I have tasted in Indian restaurants. On the minus side bit expensive for bottles wine. Go a few times a year and stay in hotel.

Beautiful presented afternoon tea. Range and quality of the food was outstanding. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. A wonderful treat for a celebration! The only criticism is the price of the water, which seemed excessive. Otherwise, the afternoon tea was good value.

Had a great lunch, some of the best fish and chips ever paired with local beers and great service! Easy and free car park (don’t forget to put your registration into their system!). Lunch menu is quite short compared with the dinner options but still plenty of choices. Be sure to enjoy the history about the location while taking in the ambience!

We have had a wonderful stay at Monkey Island, the service was exceptional, excellent food and beautiful rooms and grounds. I hope to come back again very soon. Thank you.

This was my second time eating at the George, and it did not disappoint. We attended today for a friend's birthday. Our meals were exceptional. Staff were attentive but not to the point of annoying. They made my friend's birthday special by singing to her and adding a sparkler to her dessert. I recommend the Sunday roasts :)
