- AAlexVIPNew York City •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoAngie and Scott have done an amazing job at preserving core Italian food tenets while at the same time meticulously and creatively bringing in influences from other cuisines. For example, the pasta enveloping the lobster in their "triangoli " dish is light and perfectly al dente. Another example are the mussels that have a spicy 'nduja and rice filling with a perfectly tart lemon aioli. The spicy tuna arancini are an absolute must have. While more traditionally filled with meat, I have had them with swordfish and pistachio, but the slightly creamy, spicy tuna sprinkled with furikake, gives it that little extra salty brininess - smart, really smart. Standout for me was the shrimp parm - a head-on colossal with an agrodolce and transparently thin garlic, a breadcrumb and parmesan baked top all with a not too hot but satisfying spiciness I would go back for again and again. Only thing missing? A little chewy focaccia to, as we say in Italian, sop up the sauce "scarpetta" style. The ONLY thing I wasnt wild about was the key lime caramel crespelle with rum creme. The lime flavor (and zest) competed too much with the caramel crisp on the crespelle. I would have preferred a pastry creme and perhaps some kind of chocolate coffee flake. Still, run don't walk to try this and Don Angie out! Whenever you can get in, do it! Bravi!More infoSan SabinoPrice: Expensive• Italian• West Village•4.8

- GGraigBaltimore / Maryland •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoTalk about an experience; so delicious first of all. I highly recommend you get there early and sit at the bar with the chefs. You can watch them prepare your exquisite meal and get to know the people taking you on your culinary journey…not to mention some extra bits here and there ;). A memorable meal that I will cherish for a long time.More infoTokyo Record BarPrice: Moderate• Japanese• Greenwich Village•4.8
