- TTrishLondon •1 review4.0Dined on Jul 9, 2025We were booked for 12.30 afternoon tea. We arrived plenty early at 11.45am to be able to explore the gardens and enjoy a drink outside. We walked to outside the lounge at 12.25 to be seated. We did not get taken in until 12.45 this was a little unfortunate as we lost time when limited due to school run timing. Overall it was all very relaxed with comfy seats and ambiance. Lovely waiter and the food was absolutely delicious! scones perfect- so fluffy inside and crisp outside. We did have a lovely time and were asked after a good length of time if we would like more tea/coffee. My only disappointment came at the end before leaving. I had a gift certificate for an afternoon tea for two. All I should have needed to do was give the gift number and then once it was checked, us leave. Instead I was questioned about the gift certificate being a less cost than the tea. In which my reply was it was a birthday gift certificate paid for last year in the Black Friday sale on by Eastwell Manor so of course it is less. It was a gift certificate stating afternoon tea for two with expiry date of 2026! So all paid for and totally irrelevant if cost goes up from time of purchase to time of expiring. That is the whole point of a sale is to grab a bargain. We left feeling uncomfortable and disappointed with the confrontation due to the waitress lack of English and understanding. I think she understood after I explained a few times, was very close to asking for the manager. She was reluctant it seemed at first but did then say okay she would sort it. We love Eastwell manor and for the last 7 years it has been our go to so please ensure all staff are aware of understanding what a gift certificate is, especially if you have the same sales at the end of this year for people to purchase for future tea treats. - DDianeKent •1 review4.0Dined on Jun 22, 2025Staff were attentive and friendly The thing that let it down was the tea cups were chunky white cheap ones that didn't match the saucers. It was something that the Premier Inn or travel lodge would use. Afternoon tea should be in china cups I think. Apart from that it was lovelyMore infoAfternoon Tea Parlour Hythe Imperial HotelPrice: Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Hythe•4.2
