Dinner was all-around excellent! The mussels were so tasty, and our entrees were perfectly cooked. The sauces are amazing and make the dish. Those potatoes au gratin will live rent-free in my mind. The drinks were also excellent and the service was outstanding. We are upstairs at a high top. The bartenders were knowledgeable and very on-top of keeping drinks full.

Beautiful setting with excellent food and service. A hidden gem in Petersburg.

Our party of 6 people went to Upper Shirley Vineyards on a Saturday for lunch. We made a reservation. Upon arrival, the hostess asked if we wanted to sit outside which we did. From their terrace, we were able to have a lovely view of the James River. Several of us had wine flights which were generous and all wines were delicious. We ended up buying two bottles. We had the charcuterie board, the truffle fries, the smashburger and the flatbread. All were fantastic and large portions. Our server was EXCELLENT. She was knowledgeable and helpful. This was just an A plus plus experience. highly recommend.

We really appreciate the easygoing neighborhood vibe we find at this place. Great hospitality without overdoing it, as some restaurants do. We were able to carry on conversation without having to yell at each other, and even engaged in a little conversation with the couple seated next to us. My wife had the meatloaf and I had the blackened salmon; both delicious! I appreciate the plating here; the entree and sides are all on one plate, as if you're having dinner at a friend's house. We'll continue to visit often!

The food was amazing!! We had the salmon and grits , the cheesecake pancakes, wings, and crab cake sandwich. Everything was hot, nicely seasoned, and enough for leftovers. I will be back..
