Best Restaurants for Afternoon Coffee in Barwell

A lovely restaurant with great food and a marvellous negroni. Sadly quite quiet when we visited but would be keen to revise on a weekend.

5 of us had a lovely family meal. The noise level was just OK.

Lunch with a friend. Sitting at my favourite table, ever since the Ivy opened. Great starter and traditional main course. Excellent wine (although the Ivy decision makers do charge way over the top for a bottle we can all buy for 25% of the price and there is not enough choice at the cheaper end). Good service as ever. I will be back, of course!

We chose a Friday afternoon to book our afternoon tea, the atmosphere was nice and relaxed, food delicious with attentive waiters.

Our first time eating at Softleys with our friends and it certainly lived up to all the reviews from other friends who have been before. The staff were all very attentive and service was perfectly timed. Two of us had pork belly, one the lamb and the other had seafood tagliatelle, all of which was beautifully cooked and tasted amazing, the same can be said of the starters and desserts. We will definitely be returning to Softleys.
