The food and service here were all excellent! The only reason I gave 4/5 was because I felt the music was rather loud. This can be quite off-putting when trying to engage in conversation with fellow diners. The staff were good enough to lower the music when we asked but it seemed that different music played at various levels. I believe that music is great to have and adds to the ambience, but let's keep it at a level where we can still talk and hear each other. Otherwise, the focaccia was unreal, the steak sandwich, the calamari, the duck salad - everything was faultless. Oh, and that Shanghai cocktail with the lychees was one of the best!

We have been to Chez Crix about 5 or 6 times over the past year. Every time it keeps getting better and better. The food is phenomenal and the laid back rustic chilled vibe of the place is so fun and real change from what yiou get at most restaurants. The wine list is exceptional and have never had a bad wine yet. Plus they know their drinks so you can ask the staff to make you pretty much anything and they will know. I highly recommend this place. Defintely one of my top 5 restaurants in sydney.
