Embassy is a dining concept born from the British Punjabi experience — created by Kaven Gill as a reflection of dual identity, heritage, and pride. It’s where the traditions of India meet the edge of modern Britain, brought to life through expressive design, curated music, and a bold, globally influenced menu. Inspired by everything from the smoky Dhabas of the GT Road to the refined restaurants of Mayfair, the food reinterprets Indian classics with European flair — celebrating the full spectrum of British Asian identity. More than just a restaurant, The Embassy is a statement of belonging, a celebration of culture, and a place for stories, community, and connection.

Food was excellent but the policy that your food comes out when it’s ready and as a result your large plat comes out before the small plates is ridiculous… a kitchen should be able to pace the food better.. and not rush the patrons.. Your other establishment The Back Lane Tavern manages to pace the meal much better and one doesn’t feel hurried..

The new food menu had a lot of variety and what we ordered was sensational. Great flavours in every bite. Our waitress had outstanding customer service too, very tentative and polite.

A great way to start a weekend away for a wedding. We booked The Plough as we were staying in the village. Recently refurbished with a selection of beers and ciders from independent producers and quite a local following in the bar. The food was where possible locally sourced, presented well and cooked beautifully, and ate as good as it looked. The wine selection is top drawer, not a selection to maximise the profit mix of a drinks wholesaler supplying the pub, i.e. poor new world wine of poor quality. I had a fab Merlot from Argentina that complemented the steak well. The service was excellent, attentive, friendly but not obtrusive. If you are in the area, this pub and its offering represents good all round value for money.

Compliments to the chef and his staff for once again a wonderful Sunday Carvery Lunch. All restaurant staff extremely friendly and helpful. I have 2 elderly parents with mobility issues but there is always plenty of space in the restaurant. Wish you did the Carvery more often. Will be going again as my parents are small eaters and being able to choose how much and what they want is brilliant. Thank you all so much.
