I have been to Bluegrass a number of times before and it is usually superb. My wife and I love their Cajun and BBQ dishes. We went this time though to take advantage of their Cinco De Mayo menu. For an appetizer, my wife ordered guacamole. It was not as fresh as we had hoped. Avocados brown if they've been cut too long ago and the guacamole was just starting to show signs of browning. The big draw for me was their Smoked Duck Tacos. The duck had been diced and over smoked(?). I love duck, but these pieces of duck were tough and dry. My wife enjoyed the shot of chicken tortilla soup and I loved the shot of gumbo I ordered. My wife ordered the Cajun Combo (Jambalaya and Ribs). She had swapped out the sides that came with it (baked beans and taters) for sides she preferred (corn pudding and grits) and the server handled that change smoothly. For dessert, my wife ordered the Banana Fosters taster (SO MUCH MORE THAN A TASTE!) and I order the One Bite Trio... they should really rename that one. The truffle might be one bite (I think I took 3 though), the creme brule was a small ramekin, but big enough for 5 or 6 bites, and the bread pudding was a full serving by itself (over a dozen bites). The service, the ambience, the usual food dishes were all fantastic. If it weren't for the two dishes from their seasonal menu, I would have given them their usual 5 stars.

Though we mistakenly thought there was a happy hour (that would still be great!), we had a great time in the bar. Appetizers were quite delicious and all of the servers were delightful! Exterior of restaurant is strange and off-putting, but interior is warm and tropical, surprising setting for the location. We will definitely return.

Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, wonderful house Cabernet Sauvignon and excellent service made for a wonderful dining experience. Did I mention the fabulous dessert, ricotta and pistachios layered within a cake, light as air and scrumptious! Can’t wait for outdoor dining this season. Out with friends or family or for a romantic evening this restaurant will only add to good times and special memories.

Delicious food and great service. Always noisy though. Needs some acoustics work.

Gluten free meals and bread were offered which was a real plus. We all enjoyed. The chef made an excellent salmon dish.
