Once Barcelona’s commercial heart, this area is now known for its designer boutiques and some of the best shopping in town. The listed building, dating from the 16th century, was originally a nun’s convent. Converted with care and respect it is now a lively, expansive restaurant. Its floor-to-ceiling front windows look out over a picturesque square where you can eat gourmet local delicacies from the Costa Brava such as king prawns from Palamòs and Nuri’s home made fresh goat’s cheese drizzled with honey in the shade of a tree.
