Every dish is prepared to highlight freshness and flavour - tartness from pomegranate, dried lime and barberries, fresh herbs, nuts and seeds, yogurt and aromas of saffron, turmeric, rose, and sumac. Signature sourdough flatbread and crispy rice aka tahdeeg, as well as charcoal-finished chicken and beef, a rotation of vegetables dishes with produce from local farms. During the Edo period (1603-1867), Osaka was known as the “kitchen of the nation” and the center of commerce in Japan, where rice and other specialty products were traded. With this background, Osaka’s unique culinary culture has developed, and the region is still crowded with tourists from Japan and abroad, who enjoy both traditional dishes and inexpensive street food.The two staff members who manage Tramasa are originally from Osaka, which led to the creation of Guu Toramasa based on the theme of Osaka’s food culture.
Miso Taco is a playful combination between Mexican and Japanese flavours. We were inspired by some of our favourite flavours from both cultures and wanted to translate it into a simple cheerful menu for anyone to enjoy.
