Best Restaurants for Groups in Drumcondra (D1)

Host is the best restaurant in Ranelagh and one of the best in Dublin city. The pumpkin capellacci and the burrata salad are star starters. Our sole and lamb chops mains were excellent - both dishes are very large in size, ideal for sharing. The service is very prompt, friendly and professional. It is a very busy restaurant so not a place for a long lingering evening and you are quickly moved along once your allocated dining time has expired. Another tip, book well in advance - it is very difficult to get a table at Host which is a ringing endorsement of the excellent restaurant that it is.

We ordered gnocchi with meatballs and sautéed cod. Both were delicious. Drinks were good too. We were there on a weekday night. The restaurant was not full, but there was only one server for diners on one side of the space and for a large private party on the other side. She was amazing, dashing back and forth with grace and good humor.

Wonderful food and service! Great fun for a casual night out.

Lovely friendly service, food was delicious but wine list very much on the pricey side. Needs to offer a few options closer to the €30 whereas we struggled to find any wine under €40.
