- MMichaelWisconsin •3 reseñas5.0Comieron hace 3 díasMy wife and I visited Amalinda for her birthday celebration. We wanted to try Spanish cuisine before our trip to Spain later this year. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately greeted by the man himself; Chef Gregory Leon; a twice nominated James Beard Award and twice Beard Award semifinalist. The restaurant is a small intimate restaurant with the remnants of 100-year-old Milwaukee’s famous Cream City brick forming the wall where the tables are located. The aroma of dishes being prepared within view of the dining area teased our taste buds as we enjoyed a birthday celebratory glass of sparkling Cava wine while studying the menu. Our servers John and Alexander were attentive and informative, answering our questions regarding appetizers and entrées on the menu. The menu at Amalinda changes weekly to feature seasonal and the freshest ingredients at the time. Tonight the menu offered 4 appetizer choices and 4 entrée choices consisting of beef, chicken, vegetable or fish entrée. I discovered quality not quantity is the emphasis at Amalinda! We ordered the Piri Piri Shrimp and Escalivada as appetizers. These are served cold. Each of the appetizers delighted us and provided a symphony of flavors. My wife chose a curried chicken entrée, and I selected the Monkfish for my main course. The dishes were served in a bowl. Both entrees were outstanding. My wife raved about the mingling of curry and chili spiced chunks of chicken in her dish. The Monkfish was some of the best I’ve ever had. It tasted like a tender lobster in a light sauce with hints of Almond. Alexander assisted us in choosing a Spanish wine which complimented each entrée. His choices were spot on. If you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want to sample what Spanish cuisine prepared by a James Beard caliber chef is like, Amalinda is your place to dine.Más informaciónAmilindaPrecio: Caro• Española• Milwaukee•4.7

A great experience close enough for us to walk especially now that the weather is breaking. We will be back to visit often.Más informaciónChar'dPrecio: Caro• Coreano contemporánea• Milwaukee•4

I also appreciate the manager checking on me. The octopus starter and kiwi desert were both excellent recommendations. The amazing experience is always well worth the money.Más informaciónBacchus – A Bartolotta RestaurantPrecio: Caro• Americana contemporánea• Milwaukee•4.7
