- AAislingVIPLondon •25 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThis restaurant is a firm favourite and never disappoints. The staff are friendly and attentive but not obtrusive and the food is excellently presented and very tasty. The ambience is forget and must and I love the booths which afford a sense of not sitting in top of fellow diners which I’ve experienced in other venues . Many thanks to all for a wonderful evening and we will be backMore infoFloritzPrice: Expensive• Asian• South City Centre•4.5

- MMauraLondon •2 reviews5.0Dined on Jun 11, 2025The friendly greeting from David the sommelier on our arrival made us feel instantly relaxed and at ease. The wine list is impressive and imaginative. I particularly appreciated seeing amongst old favourites like Burgundy, wine from more "up and coming" wine countries like Slovenia and Croatia. In addition I was delighted that the wine list included wine, both single varietals and blends, from less ubiquitous grape varieties. Certainly very far from a same old, same old wine list. It was lunchtime so we were looking for a lighter wine. David the sommelier was a font of knowledge and gave us some helpful suggestions as well as good insights into wine styles. The food menu is short but that did not matter as what was done and very well done. I can highly recommend the pie of the day.On the day we visited the pie was ham hock and vegetables. It was delicious and the pastry was top notch. Just as good was the croque monsieur made with Cellar 22 smoked ham and served with artichoke chips. The food felt luxurious. There is a real art in making simple food look and taste luxurious. Unusually for a wine bar there were 3 desserts on offer all spectacularly good. We rounded off our meal with a the honeyed sweetness of a glass of Sauternes. We hope to return to Cellar 22 some evening soon to sample a heftier wine. We like dessert wine so would like to see some more dessert wine on the wine list though I appreciate that dessert wine is not a big seller in Ireland. We highly recommend Cellar 22 for wine, food, service and ambience.More infoCellar22Price: Moderate• Wine Bar• South City Centre•4.5
