Antica Bologna ha sido un favorito en Northcote Road por más de veinte años -bastante tiempo para el negocio de restaurantes en Londres- y es todavía original y emocionante como el día en que abrió sus puertas, pues evoca imágenes de osterías perdidas en pequeños pueblos de la campiña silvestre en la región de la Emilia-Romaña o las ondulantes colinas de la Toscana, con su animada bienvenida propia de un antiguo favorito familiar. El chef Marzio Zacchi creció en la zona rural de Piamonte en el seno de una familia que criaba gallinas, cosechaba sus verduras y curaba su propio salami, por lo cual defiende con firmeza el uso de productos frescos locales. The main restaurant was very noisy so we sat in the bar which was delightful. A wonderful place and a view of the river. The food was good - although the pasta needed more flavour. Great place to meet with friends and a lovely room to chat in.

We were greeted by staff member, who took great care to locate a table we wanted. Service was meticulous, and my husband, being part Slovenian, raved about his cooked breakfast. He said it was outstanding. Being Easter, I opted for French Toast. Truly memorable.

Excellent service and a few TVs to watch the football but the food wasn't the best value and the drinks were expensive. I'd got back for a drink or two, but not for food.
