Amazing food Was a bit worried there wouldn’t be much I could eat with my diary allergy with the chicken being butter milk but I was pleasantly surprised and the cauliflower buffalo bite were amazing Friendly staff Great night out

Amazing food & as always remember to bring your appetite! Servers were always there just when you needed them & didn’t feel that we were being watched or hurried along on a busy Sat afternoon. Definitely recommend to anyone & everyone

The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our pre-gig meal and drinks at Van Winkle on Monday. The staff were really friendly and very accommodating, especially when one of us asked for a couple of Old Fashioned cocktails, which we later realised were from an outdated menu that was somehow still live on the V.W website. The food was full of flavour, tasty, and served nice and hot. Our only small disappointments were that the hand dryer in the toilets was broken, and that our starters arrived with our mains. To be fair, the waiter did let us know this shortly after we ordered, but it was still a little confusing to see them listed as starters when they seemed to be treated more like sides. That said, the food was excellent and definitely worth the wait. We had a great visit overall and would happily return.

Emma was fantastic and provided superb service from start to finish. I ordered three appetizers: the scallops, salmon and prawns, and creamy mushrooms. Every dish was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. My husband had the haggis-covered egg and the steak pie, and he said both were incredibly tasty as well.
