It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. G&T tonic had NO fizz. Server didn’t know the wine list by name. Had to be asked to decant our expensive wine. Was out of sight for extended periods. Food was good as expected. Pleasantly surprised by the ambiance. Would return.
