Best Restaurants for Anniversaries in South Side

Food was insanely good!! Highly recommend the short rib hummus, hamachi, lamb kefta, brussels, halibut, whipped feta, creme brulee pie, date cake. Desserts are decadent and DELICIOUS! Prices are a bit high given that these are small plates, but honestly it was worth every penny. My advice is to order a bit at a time. We put our entire order in at once and everything came out so quickly. We felt a bit rushed. The waiter did say that he would pace the foods, but the pacing was much too fast. It is a beautiful restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. We wanted to linger a little longer. Cannot wait to go back and try all of the other fabulous things on the menu.

We got the Cacio e Pepe rice cakes, as well as the Korean Lunch Tray. Both of them were very well made and delicious in vastly different ways. The rice cakes felt like a beautiful amalgamation of Asian and Italian cuisine, with the soft and tender rice cakes complimenting the peppery and cheesy sauce encasing them. On the other hand, the Lunch tray very much felt like a more traditional Korean experience. The banchan: white kimchi, nori, zucchini, and the soup were delicious. Sour, umami, and the chicken was cooked well too. All in all, a really good experience, and I look forward to trying their dinner sometime with a bigger crowd.

On our recent trip to Chicago , It was recommended that we try Gene & Georgetti’s . It was beyond anything we had expected. Antonio our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and the entire experience was over the top from the appetizers to the limoncello and everything in be tween. If your in Chicago for dinner and you don’t try this establishment then your missing out!!!

Always a favorite. Even with an early reservation it’s bustling with a good crowd. Fantastic martinis, consistently wonderful American cuisine set in charming atmosphere only RL can provide.
